Reno Orthopaedic Surgery Center Earns Accreditation
(Reno, Nev.)—The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC) has awarded Reno Orthopaedic Surgery Center (ROSC) a three-year term of accreditation. Compliance with AAAHC’s rigorous standards implies ROSC’s commitment to continual self-evaluation and improvement. Accreditation is a voluntary process through which an organization is able to measure the quality of its services and performance against nationally recognized standards and involves self-assessment by the organization, as well as a thorough review by the Accreditation Association's expert surveyors.
“When we opened ROSC in March 2008, we were dedicated to complying with the national standards set-forth by AAAHC,” said Casey McNeill, Reno Orthopaedic Surgery Center Clinical Manager. “The surgery center enables us to treat most outpatient orthopaedic and pain management cases right here. The convenience of having an onsite surgery center is a tremendous benefit to our patients.”
ROSC’s state-of-the-art facility was carefully planned and constructed over a two-year period. Complete with two surgical suites equipped with the leading surgical technology and one procedure room, Reno Orthopaedic physicians treat a variety of different cases including joint arthroscopy, fracture repair, nerve repair and injections. In addition, ROSC is now performing hip arthroscopies on an outpatient basis.
“The technology available right here at ROSC allows us to specialize in the newest techniques for hip, knee, shoulder, wrist and, now, hip arthroscopy,” adds McNeill. “Adding the surgery center to the other orthopaedic related services we provide in all three of our in-house clinics, X-ray, MRI, casting and comprehensive therapy complements our strategy to provide convenience and comfort to our patients ultimately making the decision to have orthopaedic surgery a much easier one.”
Since ROSC opened, nearly 1,200 patients have been treated since its opening. For information about ROSC, please contact Leann Pinguelo at (775) 326-5003 or at leannp@renoortho.com.
