The committee was formed by nurses and the main goal of this committee was to honor colleagues and to increase awareness of the nursing profession. The mission of these awards is to continue to honor the nurses of Northern Nevada and to recognize outstanding individuals while supporting future nurses via scholarships. The Northern Nevada Nurses of Achievement Committee has awarded over $300,000 in nursing scholarships since 1999.
