We are proud to announce the final piece to complete our comprehensive joint replacement program with the opening of the Joint Replacement Institute, Northern Nevada’s only dedicated joint replacement surgery center. This facility completes the areas only program designed specifically for patients undergoing joint replacement surgery and is led by six fellowship trained joint replacement surgeons.

The Joint Replacement Institute at ROSC (Reno Orthopedic Surgery Center) is Nevada’s only facility to receive specialty accreditation for joint replacement surgery – meeting the highest standards for patient safety and care.

Unique to Northern Nevada, this program provides pre-operative total joint replacement classes to help patients prepare for surgery. These classes are conducted by Registered Nurses who are directly involved in patient care and recovery. We also provide care navigation through Care Companion in the MyChart App. This helps patients stay on track and in contact with our staff throughout recovery.

The Joint Replacement Institute offers Mako SmartRobitcs™. This helps guide surgeons in planning and precision for more accurate patient-specific implant placement and protection of soft-tissues. The result is less bone and soft-tissue damage, less need for manipulations under anesthesia, and less postoperative pain.

Patients recover faster with our personalized physical therapy, onsite immediately after joint replacement surgery. Expert physical therapists kickstart the patient recovery journey helping them regain mobility, strength, and confidence in their new joint just hours after surgery.

Additionally, our joint replacement program provides essential recovery products through The Shop at ROC located onsite. Products can be preordered and delivered directly to patients in the Joint Replacement Institute prior to going home after surgery.
